William
Chrysler's photographs feature bold, unconventional and fantastical
images. For the past 10 years, William has worked as an independent
photographer doing free lance work, special events, and fashion shows.
He has also worked as a producer in the advertising industry and an
artistic director in the fashion industry. His pictures are
recognizable for their bright colors, avante garde style, and above
all, for unique and surprising poses. In magazine spreads, gallery
work, and advertising campaigns, William has demonstrated that he is
adept at projecting the imaginary yearnings and popular culture of our
time.
William's
studio is located in downtown Toronto and it houses wardrobes upon
wardrobes of costumes and props. However, for William, his studio is
not necessarily the best setting for photography. Rather, he sees
context and, importantly, the comfort of his subjects as being critical
components needed to truly be able to test new concepts.
His
work has been featured in a numerous gallery shows, magazines and
newspapers. As well, both PhotoEd Magazine and The Toronto Star have
done articles featuring his life and work. William is available to do
private sittings, special events, runway shows, and commercial
projects, and he approaches all new projects with enthusiasm.
